Wedding - Jenna & Toby

Jenna & Toby are two of the cutest people I have ever met. Poor Jenna had a cold, but that didn't stop her from having a great time at Their wedding. They danced the night away with friends and family. It was a great celebration! The best of luck to you both.

Wedding - Detroit, Colleen & Jeff

Colleen & Jeff tied the knot previously & I was hired to photograph a small brunch with family & friends. It was a Cliffs Bells in Detroit. If you have never gone there... GO! The place is super swank from an era gone by. Colleen & Jeff are just the cool cats to make this the perfect place to have a party. There was a Tiki theme to their get together. Everybody enjoyed the food, & atmosphere, including the lil present we will see in December!

Engagement session - Rochester Hills

Amy & Mike had bought a house that they have been working on & thats where they wanted to do their E-session. I was thinking to myself... hmmmmm not sure how exciting I am going to be able to make these photos. But once I got there I saw what beautiful land they were set on. And the labor of love that they were putting into their (new)old farmhouse. I can't wait to photograph your wedding in October & see what you do to your house!

Wedding, Ann Arbor - Sarah & Steven

Sometimes Weddings are a small affair. My job was only for two hours. But in that short time that I spent with the Bride & Groom I could see how in love they were with each other. The ceremony & reception was at the Gandy Dancer in Ann Arbor. I wish I had more time with them. They looked stunning. It would have been great fun strutting them around downtown. Here is to you Sarah & Steven, may you continue to strut into each others hearts, for many years to follow!!

Jenna & Mike

Its such a special moment when you actually know the couple to be married.Actually, I know Jenna's Mom & Dad. And it was such a joy to see their happiness, as their only daughter was set to marry a man that they loved as much as she did. This wedding had such high regard & love for the bride & the groom that thier were only a few seats left unattended. Almost everyone showed up to celebrate with the bride & groom their wedded bliss. As do I, much love & happiness to you Jenna & Mike!!!

Childrens photography - plymouth

I have been so busy this year with weddings & everybody else's children that I haven't really had much of a chance to photograph my own child. Except for grabbing the ol point & shoot, my poor kid hasn't had a proper photo session. He is now 10 months old & growing up so quickly.
So with my mom's help I was able to take a couple of photos before the sun went down. So all the rest of you Mommies out there.... Don't do what I am doing & set your apt soon. Before your babies are all grown up!

Sarah & Ryan

Sarah & Ryan's wedding had this photographer on her toes. First you had to take a ferry to get to Harsens Island followed by a second boat to get to the Grooms parents cottage. And let me tell you about the weather! First we started off with extremely grey weather with a bit of rain, too bad that didn't even cool things off. It was so humid we were all sweating. Except for the Bride, of course, who looked beautiful & cool as a cucumber! The wedding had to be in the tent instead of the dock. But by the time pictures were to be taken the rain had stopped. Of course then the sun finally showed up by the end of the portraits. The crazy weather conditions couldn't stop the fun at this wedding. It truly had a great vibe to it. Everybody was enjoying themselves. If this is the start of your married life, then you guys will have a very fun happily ever after!!

Children Portraits - Rochester, Michigan

I did a mini-session for Green Baby in Rochester, Michigan. We fit in 24, 15 minute session in 2days. Whew!!! It was crazy & fun all in one breath. Normally I like to get to talk to the kids. They like to see me set up, or ask me questions, or we get to see their toys & stuff. I like to talk to the Mom's for a bit, so they don't think I am a total stranger. So this was a little bit out of the norm for me. I really don't know how "Babies R Us" does it? I really like getting to know my clients. But this was fun none the less and I was enjoyed meeting & photographing so many kiddies at once. It was really a treat. Thank you for stopping by & I hope to see you again soon!

Family portraits - Flint

Baby M was ready for the world 2 months early. So even thou it was her 3 month portrait session she was still pretty tiny. Her little personality was already beaming through. She had a no touch hand policy that she strictly enforced on me with her little stubbornness when I tried to move them! And she even rolled over, on me. Whoa!! Baby M & her beaming new parents were so sweet & tolerant of my poses. I hope you love the photos as much as I do!!

children portraits - Clarkston

When I first met this little guy all I had was sit him down & he couldn't yet move anywere! Just a short time later & he is growing so big. It goes by so fast! I love being able to see the kids grow up & love that they ask me to photograph the progression. Happy 2 years old!!

Engagement session - Clarkston

Engagement session #2 in one day! Due to heavy rain in May I had to rebook several of my photo session. Luckily Friday was beautiful & I was able to accommodate both my couples on Friday before Memorial weekend. I have said time & time again... think outside of the box for your photos. We didn't do anything crazy... but they were willing to get into the water, & well that worked for me!! Jenna & Toby see you in July for your wedding!

Engagement session - Rochester Hills

Sarah & Ryan chose to have their engagement session in Rochester. One of my favorite places to photograph. Several cancellations due to bad weather & time constraints we ended up photographing on an extremely warm sunny day. Looking for shade where ever we could; I didn't want my very beautiful couple squinting or sweating into the afternoon sun! They turned out fabulous! See you in July for your big day!!

Memorial weekend - Movement Festival

Movement... what's that? Well its the best place you can dance your butt off & its not even bar hours!!

Its a 3 day weekend that features top djs from around the world that specialize in techno, drum & bass, house, & many more delicious beats that will make you shake your booty! The event has corporate sponsors, like Vitamin Water & Ford. This takes place at Heart Plaza in Detroit, every Memorial weekend for the past 10 years!

I have gone almost every year. This year was no exception...even the rain on Monday didn't keep me away! I was only able to make it for a short time this year, but it was worth every second. As I was able to catch Stacey Pullen's set from the Main stage! Whoo hoo!!!!

If you have never been... go! Its great people watching, awesome rhythms, & better exercise than the gym!

Memorial weekend

what a fabulous weekend! I had 2 engagement shoots, a family picnic, Detroits Movement festival, a boudior session, and my brother left for Texas... whew!!
I want to share with you first about my brother. He is in the service for the Army. Trying to get his life together, but hasn't had much luck in the job market. He has been itching to go to Texas where he was once stationed. My family was secretly hoping that he would stay in Michigan. But with little options he packed his bags & headed down south. We will miss him terribly. He is my little brother, always will be. Wishing you much luck in your state, but remember your always welcomed home. I love you!!! Here are some photos of that day...
