Photography convention/WPPI

WOW What an amazing program that I just attended in Las Vegas, on March 16-20th. Held at Bally's & Paris hotels. The event held seminars taught by world famous photographers. Also included many meet & greet parties. Where we met cute couple Jan & Chris from Minnesota. Also there was a trade show that had anything that you could possibly think to buy for photographers. My head was swimming with new ideas & I can't wait to offer all of this to you, my friends!! I heard it say that this convention is a "spring break" for photographers. -Now I didn't see any crazy streaking going on. But I will say "what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas!!"

Radio Skool

On March 8, 2008 Stacey Pullen celebrated his 1 year anniversary party hosting a once a month dance party called Radio Skool. Held at Oslo in Detroit. This is always such a cool place to take photos. It can be a challenge since its so dark in there. But It makes me try to come up with creative ways to capture the true ambiance of the party.

Jerry Ghionis

On March 11, I attended a wonderful seminar from the world famous Jerry Ghionis. His stylish wedding photography was so inspiring that I can't wait for my next wedding! www.jerryghionis.com, look at his work & know that I have learned some of his famous tricks! I am so pumped by his work that I have scheduled a photo shoot on Friday of a beautiful woman in a wedding dress to test out my new knowledge. I will of course put up those when they are done.

Baby B

March 5th photo shoot was for an adorable little boy. He looks older than just the wee age of 4 weeks.I love being able to use the parents in these sessions. Even when they really don't want to be. It always nice to show just a bit of them. I love this one.

New props!

Feb 27-29th I was visiting my boyfriend in Chicago. During this time I was able to make a pit stop to the Backdrop Outlit. Which unfortunately is closing its doors in this location and moving to Cali. Good for them. Bad for me. Anyways, I finally got a white backdrop!!! I also bought a brown one & 2 new pairs of angel wings. -I seemed to have misplaced my pink ones.
This will add something fresh to my photograph options. Can't wait to test this all out!

Baby R

I am still trying to get up to date on all of my Photography adventures, aka clients. On Feb 24 I met 3 month old Baby R. She was quite the cutie. She did look quite a bit like her older brother. Who unfortunately is very very camera shy,(to put it nicely). Her tolerance for me was a bit limited as well. I did managed to get some really fun shots of her.I really like this one in her brightly colored outfit. Her Daddy called it her Brady Bunch dress. LOL!!!

Belle Isle Conservatory

Feb 23 I went to the Belle Isle Conservatory. I hadn't been there in years! It was really great & well maintained. And very very warm! I went with some new friends, Nicole & Julie. They are part of a terrific local photography group called Exposure Detroit. This group encourages friendship & photography. Not just thru blogs, but with outings and gallery events. I look forward to the next outing gang!

Glass Slipper Ball

On Feb 16th I photographed the Glass Slipper Ball. This fundraiser was held at the Marriott in the Detroit Renaissance Center. The event featured The Best of Metro Detroit finest Chefs.
The evening held a silent auction, the Arthur Murray Dance Exhibition & the Jerry Ross Band. Along with the tantalizing taste treats!

This beautiful night was hosted by the Zonta Club of Southfield Area Foundation. The Zonta Clubs mission is to provide financial support and assistance to aid in improving the legal, educational. economic & professional status of women in Southfield, Mi. and the surrounding communities. Licks for Love

On Valentines Day I was given the opportunity to photograph a behind the scenes look of the Michigan Humane Society's Telethon. It was filmed at the channel 7 Studio. It was very exciting to be around the set. They also had on hand many adorable cats & dogs that were up for adoption. Many of these animals still need your help. If you can make a donation our fur friends would really appreciate it!

What I have been up to....

February had been a wonderfully busy month.
So let me bring you up to date.

I bring my camera with me out a lot. Febuary 9th was Detroit Winter Festival & then after wards we went to Oslo. A Sushi restaurant that has a great intimate bar in the basement. Always a great time especially when Stacey Pullen is playing. The night was a reminder that the city was ALIVE!!!!!
